FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q - What information will be provided in my FBI background check?

A - The report you receive will include arrest data retained by the FBI, and in some cases, federal employment, naturalization or military service records.  If the fingerprints are related to an arrest, the results will include the name of the agency that submitted the prints to the FBI, the date of the arrest, the arrest charge(s), and the disposition of the arrest, if known by the FBI.

Q - How many fingerprint cards will I get and can I take my fingerprint cards with me?

A - Yes, you will be given 2 fingerprint cards to take with you.  90% our our fingerprinting business is done in this manner.

Q - I need LiveScan fingerprinting done for another State, can you do that?

A -  Yes, we can LiveScan your fingerprints but would not be able to transmit them. We will do the fingerprinting, and can archive your prints for the future but you will need to send the cards to the state(s) requiring the prints.  Once they receive them  they can scan them into that states system.

Q - How long does the fingerprinting process take with your company?

A -  Because you have done much of the footwork before your appointment, you will be able to begin the fingerprinting process immediately.  On average, it takes between 15 to 20 minutes to complete a fingerprinting appointment.  There are times, if the fingerprintee, has fingerprints that are hard to scan or if their fingers are extra large or small, these appointments can take longer.  If this happens, and causes an overlap in appointments, you may be asked to wait so the other appointment can be completed.  Your service would then continue.  This is rare, but does happen on occasion.

Q - What forms of identification are acceptable to bring with me when I get fingerprinted?

A - Acceptable forms of ID's are as follows

*State Driver's License

*Stated issued ID Card

*Military Id

*Alien Registration Card (Green Card)

*Current Passport

Q - What if my fingerprints get rejected?

A - If your fingerprints are rejected, the FBI Channeler offers one free re-submission.  If your prints are rejected a second time you will need to submit another request and pay the channeling fee again.  A rejection is considered a result.  If you took your fingerprint cards with you, to be sent to an organization who would be scanning the prints to be transmitted by them and they get rejected on their end, we will re-do your prints free of charge.

Q - I have very dry hands or flat fingerprints.  What do you suggest I use to produce clear prints?

A - Wash your hands with warm water and a moisturizing soap.  Dry your hands and apply a moisturizing lotion. Do this throughout the day, the day before your appointment and then again several hours before your appointment the day of.  We do use a ridge enhancer which does help with that as well.

Q - How do I get my results Apostilled?

A - If you require an Apostille, please let us know when you schedule your appointment or if you forgot to state that then at the time of printing and we can arrange to have a complete Apostilled document sent to you.  It can take 3 to 5 weeks to receive a complete Apostilled document.  If you need more information, please contact us.
